A FAMILY TRADITION

Tenuta Fanti Estate belongs to the Fanti family since 1800. In the early seventies Filippo Fanti, the current owner, transformed the property from a sharecropping company to a winery, marking an important turning point.

Since then, the vineyards and olive groves have been cultivated by Filippo who, together with his daughter Elisa, follows every stage of production.

The Fanti family is an ancient family that owns lands in the Montalcino area

1970

Filippo Fanti starts to cultivate Sangiovese for the production of Brunello di Montalcino

1980

The first ever vintage of Fanti’s Brunello di Montalcino is presented.

2004

The new wine cellar is built.

2006

Fanti’s 2001 Brunello di Montalcino is awarded 23rd wine in the world ranking.

2007

Elisa Fanti, just graduated in Agriculture, joins the company full time alongside her father.

With 200 years of experience and the support of a passionate team, Tenuta Fanti has made its wines known and appreciated in more than 30 countries worldwide.
